Boiron's Children's Coldcalm Pellets Review and Giveaway

IT'S COLD and FLU SEASON!  The time of year that we have to work a little harder to keep our family healthy.

I was recently given the opportunity to try and review Boiron's Children's Coldcalm Pellets. I'm always cautious when giving my children medicine of any kind, even when it's prescribed by their doctor.  My husband and I are the same way, we rarely take any kind of medications.

A couple days after the Coldcalm Pellets arrived, my daughter came down with a r anunny nose and a sore throat.  After reading the package and looking at the Boiron website, I decided to give it a try. Boiron products are natural and homeopathic.

When I first opened the package, I'll admit that I had a little trouble figuring out how to get the tiny pellets out of the tubular container.  The tube is about the size of a chapstick tube, the lid comes off just the same.  However, you have to turn the tube upside down and twist while the lid is still on.  Pellets will drop one at a time into the lid.  Then simply pull off the lid and dispense the medication.  It really wasn't as difficult as I first made it seem.  When in doubt, read the directions!

At the first onset of cold symptoms, take 5 pellets every 20 minutes for 1 hour. Then take 5 pellets every 2 hours until symptoms are relieved.  Simply allow the pellets to dissolve inside the mouth.  Coldcalm Pellets are safe for children 3 years of age and older.

Non-drowsy + melt-away pellets = kid friendly!

My daughter thinks that the Coldcalm Pellets taste "yummy!"  I tried a couple and honestly didn't taste anything at all.  Which can be a good thing, because so many children don't want to take medicine because of the terrible taste.  Taste will not be an issue when taking this medication.

Often times cold symptoms seem to drag on for what seems like an eternity with young children.  My daughter took the Coldcalm Pellets for 2 1/2 days.  Our experience was quick and pleasant.  Her symptoms cleared up quickly and without getting worse.
