Don't Turn Up Your Nose to Foul Odors: Febreze #Noseblind Review & Giveaway‏

This review and giveaway was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Febreze. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.

I can't even begin to imagine how many smells and scents we encounter on a daily basis.  As I sit here, I wonder what my guests smell when they walk through the door.  After all, I'm used to the smells in our home - I'm #Noseblind!

Did you know that noseblindness is a nasal condition where you become accustomed to the odors around you over time?  Perfect (but gross) example:  a couple of weeks ago there was a skunk in our neighborhood, and the odor was very strong.  About 3o minutes later, we no could no longer smell the skunk.  We ran into town to run errands and when we opened the door upon returning, it smelled like the skunk was still in our house!  Yuck!

We live on a dirt road, have two big dogs (mastiffs), a son that wrestles, we bbq on the front deck, and we love to have bonfires in our back yard.  Does our house really smell as good as I think it does?

I have always been a fan of Febreze products.  Not only do they leave every room in my house smelling fresh and clean - these products truly eliminate the odors!  Febreze isn't only for the house - I use them in our camper and all of our vehicles too!

The last thing I want to do is "mask" or cover up odors in our home.  I want to be confident that when others walk through our front door, that they won't be hit in the face with unpleasant odors.  I want my home to feel fresh, clean and inviting - not only for my own family, but for anyone who visits.

To test our theory, I took the Febreze Noseblind Test and invited a couple friends over for a fun, family movie night.  Of course, you can't watch a movie without fresh popcorn! We began our evening by taking individual #noseblind surveys, keeping all of our answers secret.

We each took another online survey after the popcorn had been popped and served.  Then another one at the end of the evening after using a variety of Febreze products.  I had used a few sprays of Febreze Air Effects and had lit my Febreze candle.

In the end, we all agreed that Febreze left the entire house feeling fresh, clean, and welcoming.  The scent was not over-whelming and was very pleasant.  What about the popcorn smell that typically lingers for hours... GONE!

I'm confident that Febreze is going to leave my house smelling its best, and that I don't need to worry about welcoming guests with embarrassing odors.

There is a variety of great Febreze products to choose from for every room in the house, and even products made specifically for your vehicle!  I guarantee that you are going to find more than one that you love and can't live without.

What odors in your house have you gone noseblind to?

I learned about adaptation, habituation, and infestation. We live in a small home with two cats. I worry that, even though I can't smell it, others might notice the litterbox.

I have not used Febreze lately but have used it a good bit over the years. It works really well to not just cover odors but to really make the room smell fresh.

Oh yeah & one thing I learned from the website that's really random is that Febreeze comes in TONS of scents. I had no idea!

The first step in noseblind diagnosis is symptom awareness. If you’re familiar with any of these warning signs, seek treatment immediately.
