Question of the Week

Question of the Week: Are you going to plant a garden this year? If so, what will you be planting, and when will you start?

My answer:    Absolutely!  We plant a garden every year, usually Memorial Day weekend.  We plant a wide variety of veggies.  Tomatoes, Corn, Broccoli, Radish, Sweet Peas, Cucumbers, Carrots, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Lettuce, Pumpkins, Squash and Gourds.

We prepare the garden, plant the garden and take care of the garden together as a family.  It's something that the kids love doing each year.  Planting a garden is a fun family activity and the fresh vegetables are the BEST!

we moved here in July and even though I grew up with a garden, I honestly am scared to death to do it on my own...with that said I do plan to have one. I will need to research as much as I can on our soil, the weather and whats good to plant and when. I hope we can do carrots, romaine lettuce, spinach, tomatos, onions (sweet), scallions, herbs (as many as I can fit), strawberries, red radishes, zuchini, cucumbers, hmmm what else? I can't think of anything at the moment, but I want it all!!!

New follower... and no :( I'm not going to plant a garden this year, though I would love to. It's just not in the cards, my current container garden is living at my father's house where it can get the care it needs because right now I am just too busy taken care of my family to look after plants as well. But I absolutely love them and am looking forward to the time when I'll be able to add gardening to my daily juggle...

ANSWER
Yes, we are planning on growing a garden this year to teach my son about nature and gardening. We live in a place with very little space for a garden, so we are going to start small, with just a few little pots of flowers and maybe a couple of herbs.
