Happy 100th Birthday, Girl Scouts!

Her last day as a Daisy Girl Scout!
Today marks the 100th Birthday of Girl Scouts!  My beautiful eight year old daughter has been a Girl Scout for three years now, this is her first year of being a Brownie!

To celebrate the Girls Scouts 100th Birthday, my daughter's troop is having a BIG party today after school at a local indoor water park!  They are going to go swimming, play games including Girl Scout trivia, have pizza and even a birthday cake!

My daughter wore her brownie vest to school this morning and was very excited to share with her teacher about the fun Girl Scout outing and events happening later today!

Do you have a Girl Scout in your family?

I LOVED being a Brownie & Girl Scout-we did not have Daisies in the 70's. I am so glad to hear that this wholesome group is still a part of young girls lives.

Congrats to your daughter on her "fly-up". (if that is what it is still called!)

Thanks Sarah! My daughter really loves being a Girl Scout! She "bridged" from Daisy to Brownie. They had a bridging ceremony and they even walked over a wooden bridge, it was cute! :)
